Samuel (Lorenzo Richelmy) is a boy born and grown under difficult and violent conditions. Inserted in a program of rehabilitation near an agricultural farm he is submitted social Vincent (Stefano Cassetti) to the assistant, trainer of the local team of rugby managed by Teresa (Stefania Rocca). Vincent realizes the sporting potentialities of the boy and convinces him to try to venture him in frays, placed kicks and destinations. The first trainings are a failure. The tensions and the incomprehensions between Vincent and Samuel don’t decrease and the bond that the boy creates with Flavia (Margherita Laterza), daughter of the trainer, worsens the everything. Day after day, however, Samuel begins to understand that the sport can give him a possibility of ransom and a social life in the understanding among the teammates and in the love of Flavia. The game of the rugby assumes therefore a meaning that goes over the simple sport: it becomes metaphor of the life and the desire to return to hope.
