"We‘ll be young and beautiful" the first feature by Letizia Lamartire with Barbora Bobulova, Alessandro Piavani, Massimiliano Gallo and Federica Sabatini, produced by CSC Production with RAI CINEMA, is the only Italian film in competition at the 33rd SIC - International Critics' Week .
It is the early nineties and eighteen-year-old Isabella is a star. She has recorded a hugely successful album and her songs are played on all the radio stations and TV channels for a whole summer. And then that’s it.
Over twenty years later, she sings those same tracks in a local bar with her son Bruno, who plays guitar. Her child is the reason that her career ground to a halt; at least, that's what Isabella says.
Bruno and Isabella seem more like brother and sister than mother and son. An unconventional and boisterous family, their relationship is almost morbid at times, the two of them united against the world. However, this tie shatters when Bruno meets Arianna, the lead singer in a rock band, who asks him to become a member.
